Policy on Digital Millennium Copyright Act

Notice of Infringement – Claim

  1. A signature from the copyright owner or authorized representative;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  3. Identification of the infringing material to be removed, and details to help locate it;
  4. Contact information of the complaining party;
  5. A statement from the complaining party asserting unauthorized use of the material; and
  6. A statement confirming the accuracy of the information provided.

Title 17 USC §512(f) outlines penalties for providing false information in infringement claims under 17 USC §512(c)(3).

Counter Notification – Restoration of Material

  3. A statement declaring a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake;
  4. Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction for legal matters.
